2027 IEP Workshop

The 2027 IEP Workshop is a FREE, hybrid event.
Live presentations will be in the auditorium (1st floor) and posters on the 2nd floor (Rooms 2-221 B+C) of the CNRA building. An overflow room next to the poster rooms on the 2nd floor is also available for watching the livestream. Registration is required for both in-person and remote attendance.

Call for Abstracts Now Open!

We are accepting abstracts for the March 2-4, 2027 IEP Annual Workshop. Participants interested in presenting an oral talk, lightning talk, or poster must submit an abstract.

There are 13 topics for abstract submissions. An author may select up to 3 that best describes the work to be presented.

Details:

  • Participants are limited to one abstract as primary presenting author but may be a contributing author on any number of other submissions.
  • Space to present in the program is limited. Selection is not guaranteed.
  • All presenters including primary poster authors must attend the workshop in person.
  • Send questions on submitting an abstract to the workshop organizers Adam Nanninga, USFWS (Adam_Nanninga@fws.gov) and IEP Program Support (iep@wildlife.ca.gov).

Registration Opens Feb. 2027

  • Registration opens February 1 and closes February 19 (or when tickets are gone).
  • Tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  • In-person registration will be administered through EventBrite.
  • You must register for each day of the workshop you want to attend in person.
  • Remote registration will open February 1 and remain open through the end of the workshop.
  • Remote registration will be administered through Zoom.
  • Only one-time registration is required for remote viewers as the link is good for the entire 3-day workshop.

Program Available Jan. 2027

A short program will be available in January and the full program will be available in February once registration opens.

Volunteers

We need volunteers to be mic runners and timekeepers in the auditorium. Minimum commitment is 1/2 day.

Early Career Research Award Judges

We need volunteers to judge the early career presentations and posters.

  • A sign up form will be distributed in January and included in workshop registration.
