The Delta Stewardship Council's Delta Science Program has an opportunity for an Environmental Scientist/Senior Environmental Scientist (Specialist). The final filing date is July 03, 2025.

Job Description and Duties

This position will be responsible for performing key modeling and data science activities to support the mission of the Delta Science Program. Responsibilities include facilitating collaborative modeling working groups and developing a strategy for advancing community modeling capabilities to evaluate water, environmental, and human elements in the Bay-Delta. Additionally, the position is responsible for coordinating shared resources and applications of best practices to support data management and other open science principles. Essential duties fulfilled by this position include facilitating the Delta Science Program's Collaboratory initiative, coordinating and participating in modeling studies and exploring analytical approaches to support information-sharing and decision-making in the Bay-Delta, and assisting with science communication and outreach for these activities.

This position will report to Maggie Christman within the Delta Science Division.
