Postdoc Employee - Quantitative Ecology (Ruhi Lab) UC Berkeley
  • March 24, 2025

The Ruhi Lab at U.C. Berkeley is looking for a quantitative postdoc to lead a project on ecological time-series analysis in the San Francisco Estuary. If you know someone who might be interested, with experience in time-series modeling, reproducible research, and/or aquatic ecology, please share this announcement with them.

The position is unique in that the postdoc will be co-advised with scientists at the California State Water Resources Control Board (Laura Twardochleb and Sam Bashevkin). The scope of work combines modeling water quality and biomonitoring time series (zooplankton and fishes) in the Bay-Delta, to infer flow-ecology relationships; and capacity building (i.e., creating training materials and training agency personnel in time series models). So, this could be an ideal opportunity for somebody with strong quantitative skills and an interest in applied conservation problems.

More information about the position can be found on the Berkeley Recruit Job Announcement: Job# JPF04818 Postdoc Employee - Quantitative ecology - EPSM: Organisms & The Environment

Please note the deadline to apply is April 4th. Thanks for sharing, and happy to answer any questions!

Cheers,
