Watershed Stewards Program with the San Francisco Estuary Institute

The San Francisco Estuary Institute (SFEI) has been accepted as a placement site for the Watershed Stewards Program (WSP) and they will be hosting two corpsmembers starting in October. These 10 month positions are perfect for young scientists mid- or post-Bachelor's. For those interested in applying, SFEI can be indicated as the preferred site during the application process.

The Watershed Stewards Program (WSP) is dedicated to improving watershed health by actively engaging in restoration science, civic service, and community education while empowering the next generation of environmental stewards. A program of the California Conservation Corps, WSP is one of the most productive programs for future employment in the environmental field. WSP is administered by California Volunteers, the Office of the Governor and sponsored by AmeriCorps and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.

Corpsmember activities throughout CA include watershed recovery & resiliency, education & outreach, volunteer recruitment, and professional development,

Applications are due June 30, 2024 and the period of service is from October 1, 2024 - August 14, 2025.
